The Multi Investment Corporation (CMI) has been chosen from over 120 companies worldwide to participate in the 2022 Process and Knowledge Management Conference, organized by the American Productivity and Quality Center (APQC). The annual benchmark event brings together representatives of companies such as Microsoft, IBM, NASA and AstraZeneca from multiple sectors to share their best business practices, experience in process and performance improvement, and knowledge management advice.

Building the Roadmap Together was the name given to this year’s event organized by APQC and hosted in the city of Houston (Texas), from May 9 to 13, with a double format combining practical workshops and conferences.

CMI’s participation in the 2022 Process and Knowledge Management Conference was carried out by various managers who are part of its Integrated Services Center (CSI). This service unit deals with all transactional management related to financial services, personnel, IT, administration, continuous improvement and BSC automation.

Luis Durán, Transformation and Continuous Improvement Director at CMI, and José Luis Castro, head of Continuous Improvement at CMI, presented the success story entitled Creating a Continuous Improvement and Process-Driven Culture, on the second conference day. In their presentation, they highlighted the importance of Process standardization and scalability and the benefits that this practice entails, such as resource optimization, the integration of technologies and methodologies, the improvement of internal controls, and the increase in levels of efficiency and agility.

Currently, the CSI constitutes a key service unit within CMI, since it manages more than 600 internal processes of the parent company, with approximately 500 employees. The highest priority of this service unit is to add value to businesses and maintain CMI’s competitive advantage throughout Latin America.

CMI is a business group of Guatemalan origin with more than 100 years of experience, divided into 6 business units with well-known brands such as Pollo Campero and Pollo Rey.

We congratulate our customer for the results achieved and for the distinction obtained, based on their good business practices, at APQC’s 2022 Process and Knowledge Management Conference.
